“المعجم الكبير” بين المعاجم العربيَّة: دراسة في المحتوى

ملخص:

يقوم مجمع اللُّغة العربيَّة بالقاهرة– منذ سبعين عامًا– بصناعة “المعجم الكبير”؛ ذلك المعجم الذي يعدُّ أضخم مشروع يتبناه المجمع؛ لذا أكبَّ المجمع منذ عام 1946م على إخراجه، وحَشَدَ له جهود لجنته الخاصة وجهود الخبراء والمحررين المختصين في العمل المعجمي، وقد استطاعت اللَّجنة أن تُخرج في سنة 1956م الجزءَ الأوَّلَ منه، وفي ضوء ما جدَّ من ملاحظات وتوجيهات أخذ المجمع يراجع منهجه في هذا المعجم، ويعدل فيه حتَّى استقام له منهج واضح، قطع فيه أشواطًا كبيرة وطُبع منه عشرة أجزاء، والعمل مستمرٌّ في هذا المعجم بنشاط ملحوظ في الأجزاء التَّالية، وبالمعجم لغة وأدب ونحو وصرف وبلاغة، وفيه المصطلحات الشَّائعة في التَّاريخ والجغرافيا وعلم النَّفس والفلسفة والمعارف الإنسانيَّة وعلوم الحياة والحضارة ومصطلحات علميَّة وفنيَّة، ومصطلحات العلوم اللُّغويَّة والإنسانيَّة، والعلوم الحديثة والمستحدثة لتضفي عليه طابعَه الموسوعي.

Abstract:

Cairo Arabic Language Institue  has been preparing a dictionary named The Big Dictionary for seventy years. This dictionary is accepted as the most comprehensive Project after the historical dictionary of Fischer and after a discontinuation at the lexical studies in arabic World. So Arabic Language Institue  has given a great importance to puplishing this dictionary since 1946 and canalized all of the efforts of it’s private commission, specialistes and editors to the lexical study. The commission succeeded to issue the firt volume of the dictionary at 1956. Then, the institue reviewed it’s methods in the light of some serious opinions and suggestions, and adopted a understandable  method fort he dictionary.  After the commission had developed it’s methods the 12th volüme of the dictionary could be issued.  The studies continue for the following volumes.  The dictionary contains several subjects like language, literatüre, grammar, rhetoric and eloquence.  In addition It includes comman terms about history, geography, psychology, philosophy, ethnography, existential sciences, civilization and then science and art terms, ethnographic and linguistic terms, modern and postmodern science terms like an encyclopaedia.

The institue aims that the dictionary contains all of Arabic words which are in the fundemental Arabic dictionaries. On the other hand It wants the dictionary to include all of the roots and authentic form of the words, and linguistic units and words which are used in Arabic at the moment. The chairman of the institue describes the dictionary as a corpus of a language, which contains it’s unusual and peculiar words, and elucidates situation of words with expansion and changing of their meanings depending on time.  Additionally the dictionary includes etymology, analyzes, compilationsand a huge content by the helping of refering the first authentic sources. The chairman says that the dictionary is a big repertory of Arabic language which collects it’s dispersed words and exhibits all of it’s informational and cultural colours. It contains common terms about art and science, meaning of the proper nouns. So it has an encyclopedical character. This study is an content research about this dictionary and it includes the part of previous researches at first and then there are three parts.
