يحتوي الكتاب على دراسة البحار والجزر اليمنية والتي تشكل  أهمية جيواستراتيجية في قوة الدولة اليمنية, و بسبب الصراعات المحلية, وتبعية السياسة اليمنية, وتنافس القوى الخارجية وتواجدها العسكري للسيطرة على المنطقة, وقد تشكل خطراً حقيقيا مسٌ معيشة وحياة اليمنيين, وأثًرت على حدوده البحرية,  وتهديدا للأمن القومي والبحري اليمني والدولي, تطًلب إجراء الدراسة تهدف إلى توظيف البحار والجزر اليمنية لتحقيق التنمية البحرية وبناء الاستراتيجية البحرية اليمنية, يسهم في تحييد وردع القوى المعادية وحماية الأمن القومي والبحري اليمني والعربي, وإكساب اليمن الفاعلية  الإقليمية والدولية, استفاد الباحث من الدراسات والتطبيقات والتكنولوجيا البحرية, والمناهج الجغرافية والعلمية البحرية الحديثة في الوصف وتفسير واستكشاف الخصائص الجيوستراتيجية البحرية وتحليل عناصر القوة ومدى تأثيرها في قوة الدولة, وقد أكدت الدراسة أن اليمن دولة بحرية بامتياز لتفردها في الخصائص البحرية اليمنية عن غيرها من الدول الإقليمية وتشكل مركز ثقل جيواستراتيجي في مضيق باب المندب والجزر, والممرات البحرية الدولية, والجرف القاري, وطول سواحلها الذي يبلغ (2900 كم), وطول الحدود البحرية حوالي( 3732 كم)، وتفوق في الإيرادات بنسبة (85%) من الناتج القومي الإجمالي اليمني من الصادرات والخدمات عبر المنافذ البحرية, وتحتوي على مساحات بحرية اكثر من (527384 كم²), ومن خلال الوعي المجتمعي و الوحدة الوطنية وتحقيق الاستقرار السياسي اليمني, سيتم التمكن من توظيف منطقة الدراسة وفق استراتيجية حديثة تعمل على تحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية اليمنية الشاملة، وتسهم  في تحقيق الاستراتيجية البحرية اليمنية والعربية والإقليمية لملء الفراغ في المنطقة, وتحييد وردع القوى البحرية المعادية, وإفشال الخطط البحرية الاستراتيجية المهيمنة .

Abstract

This Book explain How Yemeni seas and islands are of great importance and impact on the strength of the Yemeni state, they have been given a number of problems in local conflicts and the dependency of Yemeni politics ,the competition of foreign powers and military presence to control the study area, which posed a real threat to the lives of Yemenis nations and affected its maritime borders as well as a threat to Yemeni and international national and maritime security .Therefore, it requires conducting the study aim at employing the study area to achieve maritime development and build the Yemeni maritime strategy that contributes neutralizing and deterring hostile forces, protecting national and Arab & Yemeni maritime security, and providing Yemen with regional and international effectiveness. By making use of marine studies, applications at maritime technologies using modern marine geographical and scientific approaches in describing, interpreting and exploring the geostrategic characteristics of the sea, analysing the elements of power and impact on the power of the state, the factors and forces of maritime conflict, and foreseeing and predicting the future. The study proved that Yemen is a marine country with distinction for uniqueness and distinction in marine characteristics. Yemen distinguishes from other regional countries and constitutes a geostrategic centre of gravity in Bab Al-Mandab Strait, the Yemeni islands, the international sea lines, the continental shelf, and approximately length of coasts amounting reaches to 2,900 km. The length of the maritime borders is about 3732 km. In addition, it exceeds in revenues by 85% of the Yemeni gross national product from Exports and services through the sea ports, as well as it contains marine areas more than 527,384 km². Besides that, the community awareness, national unity and the achievement of Yemeni political stability it should be taken into account. It will be possible to employ the study area according to a modern strategy that works to achieve the comprehensive of Yemeni strategic goals, and contributes to achieving the Yemeni and Arab maritime strategy as well as regional maritime power in order to fill the void in the region. The most important objectives area to neutralize, deter violence the hostile navy, and thwart the offensive strategic naval plans.
